They’ve Moved

I worked on this project in Kansas in two phases, 2007 and 2010.  We completed almost the entire house, just had the lower level to finish, and then a new job took the family to Michigan.

The new owners bought the sectional from the family room and the walnut travertine cocktail table from the living room / library, so the Michigan house gets some new furniture.  I’ll walk you through our design process, showing you how the furniture from Kansas is re-purposed in future posts.  Don’t forget Stange’s designers can help you move to a new location or combine households.

For now here are some shots of the Kansas house.  Pay close attention to the furnishings so you can see how they are used in Michigan.

The LR/Library sofa, loveseat, and end table  will go in the new lower level family room, the leather chairs and ottoman (hidden behind the lamp shade) will go in the new Great Room along with a new sectional and cocktail table.

The DR table will host new chairs in Michigan.

The kitchen table will go in the lower family room.  The new dinette requires a different shape and size.

This sectional stays in Kansas –  a new one is ordered for the Michigan house.  FYI – Century is the manufacturer and we can get one for you.

The new Master Bedroom (MBR) is much smaller.  The chairs and ottoman will probably be used in the office, that is still up for debate.

The owners are busy getting the new house ready for move in date, new paint, tile, carpet,  a little remodeling….  Future posts will show you fabric selections, floor plans, and tile layouts – stay tuned!
