The Wrapping Trend

Back in 2007 when we hosted an event at our store titled Fashion Drives Home I did some research on the coming trends in women’s fashion and home furnishings. It is fun to look back at it today and see that yes, many of those predictions came to be:
Ballet Flats
Skinny Jeans
Menswear fabics
Hair on Hide – in furniture, accessories, and women’s fashion
Multifunctional furniture
Glitter, bling everywhere, traditional fabrics enhanced with metallic fibers
Green Movement or eco Chic
Urban Chic
Flocking
Reclaimed and recycled wood
Smudge Gray, orange, copper

We still are on the look out for new trends.  One we found for 2013 is wrapped furniture. The textured effect is wonderful whether its faux shagreen, linen, printed or not, leather, or raffia. Here is some of the wrapped furniture you can find at Stange’s of Waupaca.

Joli Nesting Ottomans

The French Script fabric gives these ottomans a soft and sophisticated romantic touch.

Hickory Chair has a wonderful custom program where you can pick a fabric and finish.  This is one they show in their catalog but you can do whatever you want.  Check out the website and have some fun playing with different combinations.

You can change the fabric but also customize a wall by stacking the pieces – now how fun is that!

Play with some of the fabrics and wood finishes like I did. Just click on the various fabrics shown for a whole different look.
